Responsibilities Be a key member of the centralized UX / UI team at growth oriented, user-focused company. Functioning as a UX Lead, this role leads user-centered design process by conducting research, applying best-practice design principles, and developing software design wireframes and prototypes for complex software systems. Collaborate with team members, stakeholders and users to design and build solutions using design prototyping tools and pattern libraries technologies. Use strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deeply understand complex systems and translate them to intuitive user flows and designs. Build trust and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, including product, business stakeholders, and senior executives. Lead and execute all phases of our best-practice design process, which includes using strong communication and leadership skills - along with design capabilities - to work with all levels of users, stakeholders, developers and management. Effectively use influencing, consensus building and conflict resolution skills to drive efficient design processes and deliver effective solutions. Guide design team members and other project contributors to determine the right UX activities and deliverables for various types of projects. Required Skills Extensive demonstrated experience leading high-level strategic research and design of complex software systems, web applications and mobile applications. Extensive demonstrated experience conducting UX Discovery and user research to develop insights and apply them to the design of complex, data-driven systems. Extensive demonstrated experience developing best-practice design artifacts and deliverables including workflows, personas, journey maps, wireframes, interactive design prototypes and high-fidelity design mock-ups. Experience working closely with front-end development frameworks, languages and libraries such as Angular Material, D3/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Angular.js, Bootstrap, etc. Extensive demonstrated experience working with design tools like InVision, Axure and UXPin. Understanding of design implications working with MVC and Microservices architectures. Extensive experience with agile software development practices and release of commercial software products. Working experience with WCAG (508) compliance. Working experience with build/release process of UI components with Angular Material and other tools. Knowledge of visual design and best practices of UI, reports and dashboards, scorecards. Vertical specialization. Having worked on specialized systems such as adaptive learning, online education, advanced analytics, monitoring etc. would be beneficial as well. Passion and the ability to learn new things and work to continuously improve the UX team's skills and knowledge through your work and experiences. Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to approach product design strategically, and apply critical thinking to design decision-making. Ability to assess optimal research methodologies, create research plans and conduct user research to understand user needs, and validate prototype designs using wireframes, sketches and interactive prototypes. Candidate must provide a strong portfolio of work experience demonstrating strategic design deliverables, user research insights, interaction design deliverables and other common artifacts and deliverables. Ability to develop multiple design concepts and iterate quickly with low-fidelity interactive prototypes. Willingness to contribute strongly to development and maintenance of Ascend Learning's Design System, including visual and interactive standards for component libraries. Willingness and ability to progress the organization's user-centered design processes by leading, demonstrating and teaching others through the work you dos Knowledge of and ability to schedule, define, plan and execute user research, including but not limited to:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
