Quality Control Manager
Full-time 5 hours ago Full Job Description The QC Manager will provide leadership to employees in quality control functions to ensure compliant, efficient, timely, and cost-effective quality operations.
The QC Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining strategic functions in the Chemistry department, and for the overall operations of the chemistry laboratory.
The QC Manager provides direct support to the Sr QC Manager.
The incumbent will be expected to be able to demonstrate leadership skills necessary to support other team members, such as mentoring or training.
The incumbent must also possess project management skills necessary to ensure project timelines are accurate and achievable.
Tracking the status of projects and providing regular feedback is critical.
Lead multi-skilled personnel as assigned, to ensure that performance meets established safety, quality/Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), quantity and cost standards.
Manage, coordinate, and directly supervise employees including coaching, counseling, performance reviews and feedback/initiating corrective action.
Manage scheduling and adherence to proposed release dates.
Provide leadership and support to quality control personnel in solving technical problems or contacting other resources as appropriate to solve problems.
Ensure compliance of local, state and federal regulations and guidelines (e.
g.
, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), etc.
).
Ensure SOPs for areas of responsibility are updated, accurate, and complete.
Ensure formal and informal training occurs in employee technical skill development as well as other training initiatives including safety, cGMP, teamwork, etc.
Participate in cost reduction programs with respect to waste and other inefficiencies.
Develop a strategic plan for the laboratory and maintain strategic functions to ensure the laboratory is capable of maintaining operations based on capacity changes, staffing needs, resource changes.
Critical understanding of proper and thorough laboratory investigation.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
