Summary:
The general nature and level of this job requires knowledge, skills and abilities to perform complex, technical and/or administrative assignments with several variables and alternatives.
Independent judgement will be a requirement to resolve problems, as compared to following procedures and practices, and reporting results to management.
This position will work closely with field employees, Division Engineers, Technical Specialists and administrative staff.
Primary Duties:
Provide assistance to field mechanics, technicians and project managers in placing, expediting & receiving material orders.
Maintain a field/project purchasing spreadsheet.
Maintain documentation records for materials purchased.
Ensure continuity of supply, consistency of quality and competitive pricing of materials purchased for operations and projects.
Prepare project budget forms, monitor and analyze project costs and prepare project cost forecasts.
Assist project managers with contractual &/or service agreements, work offers and OQ verification documents.

Provide assistance to project managers with project completion documentation and cost reconciliation.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a business/technical field or 4
years of similar work experience.

years of direct experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of procurement practices.
Must be detail-oriented with good organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments Must be team player, self-motivated with high level of energy and creativity Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees, management, and vendors Knowledge of equipment used in the transportation of natural gas (pipe, valves, fittings, compression & ancillary equipment, etc) Extended hours/workdays on short notice Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
