Kraft Tool is principally located in Shawnee, Kansas.
For over 40 years, Kraft Tool has been a trusted name in the hand tool industry.
Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor leads, trains, and coordinates plant operators during the night shift.
They develop and maintain SOPs for changeovers, fill weight management, cross-training, and new employee development.
The role focuses on standardizing productivity, operational processes, sustainability, and cost control through labor standardization and OEE monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Promote a safety culture and enforce safety policies during the night shift.
Ensure tasks adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
Direct night shift activities to meet customer needs.
Communicate with Plant and Engineering Managers regarding staffing, materials, and metrics.
Provide required safety, quality, and operational training to employees.
Manage cross-training and workforce development during the night shift.
Maintain accurate employee time records.
Initiate and process corrective actions fairly.
Foster positive employee relations and engagement.
Implement continuous improvement and Lean practices, including 5S, during the night shift.
Ensure sanitation and housekeeping guidelines are followed.
Participate in the hiring process and provide termination recommendations.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective night shift leadership.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective leadership and team-building skills during the night shift.
Proficiency in Accumatica and MS Office Suite.
Comprehensive knowledge of production operations.
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
4-6 years of supervisory experience required.
Previous supply chain, distribution, or materials management experience preferred.
Lean, continuous improvement, and 5S experience preferred.
Experience in the metal forming industry is a plus.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
