The role you'll contribute:
Perform a variety of diagnostic medical sonography procedures providing high quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Sets up and assists in invasive procedures when ultrasound is used as a guidance tool.
Performs all tasks necessary to provide quality patient care.

o Cooperates with all associates in proper conduct of the department.
o Performs other related duties as required and deemed necessary per Radiology Director.
o Follows the Standard of Behavior guidelines per hospital policy.
o Follows prescribed hospital safety standards.
o Maintains ethical, professional relationships.
o Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
o Positions and transfers patients for exams.
o Assists physicians in performing invasive procedures, being responsible for checking necessary lab work pre-exam and for delivering specimens to appropriate areas of the hospital with proper paperwork.
o Practices sterile technique to prevent any contamination.
o Maintains adequate records per department and hospital policies.
o Follows AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation and Thank) at all times.
o Attends a minimum of 50% of scheduled department meetings and is accountable for obtaining information from missed meetings.
o Operates Cerner System proficiently, trouble shoots problems with orders and makes corrections within scope of user level.
o Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of Ultrasound Department.
o Produces quality diagnostic ultrasound images by using proper equipment technique and technical factors.
o Secures and restocks supplies as necessary.
o Performs all ultrasound procedures according to department policies o Cooperates with all associates in proper conduct of the department.
o Performs other related duties as required and deemed necessary per Radiology Director.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
o Associate's Degree or within last semester or recent graduate of a Technical School EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
o Up to 1 Year of Position-Related Experience LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
o BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
