The Client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer who has prior experience working with military-developed Mode 5 technology.
This position will support both new and updated products within The Client's AvComm business unit.
Key
Responsibilities:
o Provides assistance in estimating project task and schedules.
Also provides other information to management for planning purposes.
o Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Introduce or define new technology for engineering as needed.
o Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
o Can translate customer requirements to engineering specifications.
o Coordinates tasks with other departments to meet task objectives.
o Can perform software tradeoff analyses and in many circumstances determine whether a design should be implemented in software.
o Coordinates with hardware design engineers to provide effective system solutions.
o Demonstrates high degree of proficiency in discipline to determine good match between design requirement intended function and engineering implementation or methodology.
o Can translate system level specifications to module level specifications.
o Is familiar with industry engineering standards.
o Demonstrates proficiency in discipline to complete tasks independently.
o Prepares design reviews.
o Creates software to meet intended requirements.
Tests and troubleshoots SW as required.
o Ensure product conforms to requirements by following established procedure and design standards.
o Verifies items created or defined by developing and conducting tests to ensure specifications are met.
o Ensures completion of all documentation required for production introduction.
o Use Bitbucket for source code repository and Jira for task tracking.
Minimum Requirements:
o Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineer, Computer Science or Electrical Engineero 8
years of demonstrated experience with object-oriented design and development.
o 8
years' experience C and C+
programming skills.
o Must be U.

o Experience with wired or wireless communications protocols.
