This position is full-time working out of our beautiful corporate office in Overland Park, Kansas.
Summary:
Research and write content to expand the Company's portfolio of concession contracts.
This role may offer the occasional opportunity to travel to some of the country's most beautiful places.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on assigned topics to gather relevant information Write and edit engaging and informative content for various business segments Ensure content is accurate, well-structured, and follows the desired style guidelines Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and develop content strategies Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility Proof read and edit content for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Attend daily/weekly meetings to fully understand the proposal requirements and communicate with the writing team on the progress of completing the response Meet with internal and external senior-level professionals and subject-matter experts to generate new content and organize existing content into a compelling response.
Work within stringent timeframes to meet deadlines, ensure the final documents are complete as set forth in the prospectus, and ensure the document is well organized and professionally presented.
Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
Possess exceptional communication, organizational and time management skills.
Maintain confidentiality related to all documentation and other Company proprietary information.
Self-motivated with the ability to perform at the highest professional and ethical standards Responds well to a changing work environment and is able to perform at the highest level with minimal direction Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively recommend solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office (especially with Microsoft Word) Knowledge and Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business or related field from accredited college/university
Experience:
Prior proposal writing experience preferred.
Five (5) years experience writing, editing, proof-reading and long-format content.
