Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain the golf course, equipment and facilities such as mowing, chemical and pesticide applications, repair of irrigation system, turf maintenance.
Operates equipment during emergency operations, including snow removal.
Requirements:
High school education or additional equivalent experience.
Possession of a valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with air brake endorsement, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
Employees hired or promoted on or after January 1, 2012, must possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
Must maintain an insurable driving record.
Possession of Kansas Commercial Applicator Certification, with 3A and 3B endorsements, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
Six months experience in operation of golf course and farm-type equipment and turf maintenance, or an equivalent level of experience.
No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam and essential functions test.
Normal Work Hours:
