Our client is a 70 year old, award-winning youth recreation company that's experienced strong growth the last several years in the greater Kansas City, KS area.
We are a small and experienced team looking to add sales and relationship professionals to lead our growth with local school districts, public recreation centers and parks departments across our territory.
We install playgrounds, sports courts (think basketball, volleyball, pickle ball etc), water features and scoreboards.

Account Executive Compensation range:
Salary - $45,000 - $60,000 depending on experience Variable compensation - 10% of gross profit dollars for projects completed (no cap) Total compensation targeted between $100,000 - $200,000 in first year with strong potential to exceed that range based on performance Location:

You're well connected across the region and will build relationships with school districts, city parks and recreation departments and will learn to sell all things fun in playgrounds, sports and scoring.
This role is very important - as our reputation rests on our ability to build relationships and be seen as the destination for playgrounds, sports and boards! This role will suit someone who can strategically approach a well defined territory and understands government and school district budget cycles and spending needs.
You love building relationships and seeing a project through to completion as the customer's main point of contact.
We are not a sell, then handoff the relationship, type company.
We collaborate with the project team and keep in touch with the customer regularly through the project.
Work you'll do:
Manage a territory of prospects, accounts and relationships to deliver on your quota Use a CRM to manage your pipeline and sales funnel Conduct site visits, monitor project progress and keep customers informed throughout the project Create strategic approach to selling in your territory including mapping out budget cycles for clients, building timelines around their project needs and targeting high potential customers according to need Conduct outreach to prospective accounts in your territory Build relationships with key stakeholders in your book of business Sell things that bring people joy - exercise, sports, playgrounds etc.
Create estimates, walk sites, identify clear scopes of work, make design and product suggestions according to budget and client needs Here's what we're looking for:
Collaborative and consultative sales experience Experience selling into school districts, public parks and recreation departments highly preferred You can read a blueprint and basic construction documents You know what a site visit is and how to conduct a thorough one to ensure accurate estimates and smooth project delivery You build relationships - not just interested in getting the one time sale Basic knowledge in project estimation - will teach specifics of our industry Sports background preferred - well connected with school districts, public parks and recreation departments and other sports organizations is a HUGE PLUS Experience using a CRM Positive attitude and collaborative - you work seamlessly with the project team and the customer to help everyone succeed Here's what you get:
