Software Tester I Job
Summary:
The Tester for ScriptPro's agile cross-functional teams is focused on the delivery of new or existing projects.
Assist in evaluating, reproducing, and investigating software, hardware, reporting, and operating system issues as related to the ScriptPro product line.
The role interacts with a variety of personnel ranging from software engineers and testers to senior management and end users.
This role participates in project development from initiation through delivery, including site support.
Testers are integral to enhancing software design and ensuring stability.
Reporting Relationship:
Manager, Testing Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
This role is on a hybrid work schedule; mix of remote and in office.
Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
Scope of the Role:
Understand complex problems and test case creation in both web and local environments to test the customer user experience Test proposed changes to hardware, software, and reporting, that are both in-house and at customer sites Interpret symptoms, troubleshoot problems and document possible solutions Strong understanding of how the product works and how it is used by our clients Diagnose, track and manage the resolution of quality issues through to resolution change requests and build testing for main and beta software builds Participate in onsite builds and product support for beta sites Document and report test outcomes by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing data Assist in reproducing, investigating, and debugging software issues in coordination with the team Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements:
Basic knowledge of software testing, analysis, and troubleshooting Understanding of database basics in Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases Ability to document testing procedures and guidelines for the team Ability to design test plans and evaluate outcomes Ability to clearly communicate test results in both written and verbal format Small amount of travel may be required Preferred Skills:
Experience with testing tools Experience/understanding the role of testing in quality-focused agile development projects Experience with agile methodologies Attributes Desired:
Superior written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines, and report status ScriptPro is not sponsoring any type of visa for this position.
