As Market Facing Underwriter, you will underwrite and analyze new and renewal business utilizing the companys framework for the assignment of higher technical complexity within delegated authority levels. You will also develop, maintain, and collaborate with line of business representatives on referrals and other business needs, as necessary. Importantly, you will build relationships with distributors (agents and brokers) in support of business retention and acquisition. To qualify, you must have a minimum of 4 years experience selling into middle markets and a background that includes a variety in coverage. A strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing and regulations and guidelines is essential. You should be willing to travel up to 25% within an assigned territory.
